From 4-6 July the third workshop of IEPs training series “Training the Trainers on EU Project Cycle Management” was successfully implemented in Kyiv by Martin Stein, project manager at IEP. The trainings are part of IEPs ongoing work (Civic School for Sound EU Practice – CiSEP) to strengthen the capacity of Ukraine’s civil society in the framework of the EU-Ukraine association process.
From 23-25 of May the second workshop of the „Training The Trainers on EU Project Cycle Management“ was successfully implemented by Project Manager Martin Stein in Kyiv. During the three-day long workshop the participants continued working on their project ideas of the first workshop and were already able to create a Logical Framework Matrix, that they also worked on inbetween the workshops.
The Institut für Europäische Politik’s (IEP) second project stage of the Civic School for Sound EU Practice (CiSEP), a Training The Trainers on EU-Project-Cycle-Management, launched successfully between April 25-27 in Kyiv and was implemented by Martin Stein, Project Manager at IEP. The first training titled “PCM – Where to start?” introduced the participants to the Project Cycle the EU requires when funding projects, provided them in interactive and practical sessions with first-hand knowledge on the first stage of the cycle (Programming) and started setting the ground with first skills on how to conduct trainings.
From 1-4 February 2016, the last of three challenging workshops on the role of Civil Society Organisations(CSO) in the EU-Ukraine association process was concluded in Lviv. The workshop tackled the topics “Communication”, “Project Cycle Management” and “Fundraising”.
From 25-28 January 25 members of CSOs from Central and Southern Ukraine successfully concluded the last workshop of the first Civic School for Sound EU (CiSEP) training cycle in Odessa, Ukraine.
The first and second workshop in November and December were aimed at conveying knowledge on the EU-Association Agreement and its Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (AA/DCFTA) as well as teaching skills to effectively monitor and accompany the association process to the attending civil society representatives. The third workshop was a continuation of this knowledge and skills approach, but had a stronger focus on the skills-part.
First round of CiSEP workshops successfully concluded in Chernihiv
From December 13-16, 2015, Constanze Aka, project manager at the Institut für Europäische Politik (IEP), implemented the second workshop for civil society representatives from Western Ukraine in Lviv.
The workshop “Making an impact: The DCFTA and means of monitoring the association process” conveyed further knowledge on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) between Ukraine and the European Union, entering into force on 1 January, 2016.
From 7-10 December 2015, four weeks after the first workshop of the project Civic School for Sound EU Practice (CiSEP) was opened in Odessa, Martin Stein, project manager at Institut für Europäische Politik, returned to the port city at the Black Sea to successfully implement the second workshop of the first project stage with participants from different CSOs of Central and Southern Ukraine.
The third component of the Civic School for Sound EU Practice was successfully launched in Lviv on 23 November, 2015. Its beginning was marked with a conference on Ukraine’s EU association in general and its impacts for Western Ukraine in particular. The event was opened by Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany Ms Myroslava Dyakovych, who delivered sincere greetings from HE Ambassador Weil.
